We provide nursing care, dementia nursing care, respite care, and end of life care.

We provide 105 single rooms with ensuite wet rooms.

What’s the age range to be eligible for admission to the care home?

You must be 65+ to be eligible for admission to the care home.

When was the care home designed / built?

The home was built between 2008/2009.

How safe and secure is the care home?

The care home has a fob and keycode system for entering and exit the home, so the residents remain safe from non-authorised visitors and are not able themselves to exit the building unaccompanied.

Do care homes cater to specific medical conditions, such as dementia?

Yes, we look after older people with mild to advanced/complex dementia.

Are care plans personalised for each resident?

Yes, we provide personalised care that combines a range of options built around each individual’s needs.

Can residents bring their own furniture and belongings?

Yes, we welcome residents to bring their own furniture and belongings if they wish.

Are pets allowed in the care home?

This is something that can be discussed with the Care Home General Manager before admission but is not something we advertise due to health 7 Safety reasons.

What is the staff-to-resident ratio in the care home?

Approximately 1 carer to 5 residents.

How is medication managed in the care home?

Medication is stored in accordance with regulations and dispensed by staff trained in medication such as a Registered Nurse, House Lead or Senior Care Assistant. 

What happens if a resident's care needs change over time?

We regularly review each resident’s needs and adjust our care plans accordingly to provide personalised support.

Does the care home have a duty of care?

Yes in accordance with CQC Regulations.

Is the care home wheelchair accessible?

Yes, it is wheelchair accessible.

Does the care home have a lift?

It is a ground-floor accommodation, no stairs or lifts are required.

Does the care home provide parking?

Yes, free parking is available.

The CQC overall rating for the Russets and Sherwood is ‘Good’.
