Work experience at St Monica Trust

Work experience at St Monica Trust gives you the chance to see what it’s like to work in a care and support organisation. Alongside care roles, there are opportunities to learn about other departments such as maintenance, gardening, marketing, portering, housekeeping, IT, and catering. You can observe day-to-day activities, help with suitable tasks, and build skills like communication, teamwork, and confidence.

Work experience plays a vital role in helping you explore future careers

By offering placements, T Levels, and apprenticeship opportunities, we give you valuable insight into the workplace and a chance to develop real-world skills. It’s also an opportunity to discover what makes our organisation a great place to work.

Today’s work experience looks different

It’s more flexible and adaptable, moving away from traditional Monday to Friday placements.

We can now offer shorter, more impactful experiences

Perhaps three days, or even a rotation across different teams. This gives you the chance to explore the full breadth of opportunities available, whether that’s in marketing, administration, catering, estates, facilities, finance, or beyond - not just in care roles.
