Enjoying an enviable location overlooking Durdham Down in Bristol is Cote Lane. Boasting picturesque gardens and magnificent historic buildings, Cote Lane was chosen as the perfect location for the first St Monica Trust home of rest.
Now, over 100 years later, these Grade II listed buildings offer a unique selection of rooms and areas available for hire. From the serene beauty of St Augustine’s Chapel and the spacious Oatley Hall and Stage, to our elegant Cote Café and Mezzanine, our flexible spaces are ideal for conferences, presentations, concerts or private functions.
1. Oatley Hall and Stage
The hall is 12.5m x 14.0m (width x depth, stage to dais) and the dais is 5.0m x 8.5m.
Suitable for stage shows, group classes, presentations, conferences, parties, gatherings and private events.
Theatre Style (with central aisle): up to 185 guests
- Includes 120 on the hall floor
- 45 on the dais
- 20 in the balcony
Cabaret Style: up to 161 guests
- 12 tables with 8 chairs each on the hall floor
- 45 on the dais
- 20 in the balcony
Boardroom Style: up to 30 guests

2. St Augustine’s Chapel
Suitable for concerts, presentations, commercial purposes or private events.
- The chapel has a safely assessed seating capacity of 245 guests.

When accommodating individuals using wheelchairs or mobility aids, the capacity is approximately 100.
Additional seating is available on the balcony, with space for 25 to 30 chairs. While the audio experience remains clear, visibility from the balcony is limited.

£25 per hour for external events not involving the Trust or our residents.
