What do you get up to on a typical day?
Meet and greet, staff handover, medication etc.
What is the best or most rewarding thing about your role?
Providing care to our residents. Everyone works as a team for the same goal and everyone is trusted as an individual.
What challenges have you faced and how have you overcome them?
The challenge I faced is transitioning from one organisation to the next. Every organisation has their own policies and guidelines but I have overcome that because the staff here are very supportive and encouraging, which helps my job to be easier and manageable.
What's it really like to work here?
Everyone is so friendly and approachable. I look forward to coming to work, everyone is so motivated and driven.
Tell us about the training and development...
Training and development is very good because it presents a prime opportunity to expand my knowledge and it is also a worthwhile benefit.
What's been your biggest achievement?
My biggest achievement so far is completing my training at UWE and then working for St Monica Trust.

Motivation, teamwork, effective communication, approachable, caring and empathetic.
What would you say to someone thinking of applying?
I would encourage anyone to apply to the Trust because this is a brilliant organisation to work for. Everyone is supportive and helpful. I enjoy working here so much. The management team are very supportive and kind.
