Being able to book respite care up to a year in advance allows caregivers to plan ahead. Organise holidays, trips or other events safe in the knowledge that your loved-ones will receive the highest levels of care in a home rating ‘Outstanding’ by CQC.
The respite and short-term care at John Wills House care home provides periods of stay ranging from two week to six weeks. We take care of you from the moment you arrive and our specialist team of carers and nurses are here to help you with whatever you need.
Respite care is perfect for recovering from a hospital stay, giving your carers a short break, or as a treat for yourself. It provides peace of mind for families, knowing that their loved one is receiving the best care and support in a safe, comfortable setting.

All our short-term and rehabilitation rooms are modern, fully furnished with profiling beds and private ensuite facilities. A television and Wi-Fi are also available for your own in-room entertainment. Outside of their rooms, all residents are encouraged to socialise, join in activities and fill their days with smiles and laughter. Meal times are also an important social occasion where residents can enjoy great tasting food.
