Chocolate Quarter opens its doors to community
The St Monica Trust’s highly anticipated new development, The Chocolate Quarter, will open its doors to the community on Saturday 2 December.
The Trust is inviting members of the public to visit the new luxury retirement community from 10am until 4pm to celebrate the opening of the £60 million development.
Special offers
Throughout the day, visitors will be able to explore everything that The Chocolate Quarter has to offer.
The restaurant, bars, cinema, nail salon, hairdressers, barbers, artist studios, swimming pool and gym will be offering free tasters, workshops and special offers.
People will also have the opportunity to look around the redeveloped Somerdale Factory, with hosted tours of the whole building throughout the day.
Visitors will be able to take advantage of special offers, with Tigerlily Nail Salon offering £5 off ‘shape and gels’ and 10% off any future bookings made on the day.
Figo Hair and Figo Men’s will offer free consultations for visitors, goody bags to take away and 15% off any service booked.
The swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna will be open for 50 minute taster sessions starting at 10am. The gym be offering tours of the facilities as well as inductions on the equipment for all to try.
The new pizzeria B Block will be open for coffee, pizza and cake throughout the day to try, and the team will also be hosting pizza demonstration workshops and smoothie masterclasses.
To keep the little ones entertained there will be screenings of children’s favourite, The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child in the cinema, as well as drop-in Christmas Card making workshops at the Artist Studio.
Grown ups will also have the opportunity to use equipment in the Artist Studio for painting and drawing sessions or try their hand at pottery on the pottery wheels and kilns.

Spaces for the 50 minute swimming, sauna & jacuzzi sessions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Secure you space by e-mailing izzy@weareplaster.com with your preferred time, sessions will start on the hour from 10am until 3pm.
