HUB Weston CIC: Age Advantage Project

HUB Weston CIC received funding for its Age Advantage project, supporting people aged 55+ to rebuild confidence, reconnect with their community, and explore volunteering or employment opportunities.

In its first year:

  • 97 older people took part
  • 27 moved into volunteering roles
  • 12 secured paid employment

This is a fantastic example of the impact of targeted support, and we’re excited to see how the project develops.

National Centre for Integrative Medicine (NCIM): Thrive55

The National Centre for Integrative Medicine (NCIM) received funding for Thrive55: Building Age-Friendly Workplaces.

The project supports volunteers and employees aged 55+ through workplace-based interventions, working with senior leaders to identify barriers faced by their 55+ workforce, promote the value of both current and future older workers, and embed genuinely age-friendly practices.

Thrive55 also creates opportunities for leaders to work alongside their 55+ workforce to co-produce age-positive action plans and challenge stereotypes about ageing in the workplace.

We’re looking forward to seeing this innovative and collaborative project evolve.
