You may be taking the first steps in your career. Or perhaps you already have lots of experience and fancy a move. Either way, it’s important to know we’re on the same page when it comes to what we believe.
First of all, we believe our residents should have choice and control, dignity and respect, health and comfort, peace of mind and be able to live in a positive environment with social engagement.
Put simply, we’re here for people. Not profits. It’s been that way since we opened our doors in 1925. Our board of Trustees makes sure our original endowment fund is only ever used for the benefit of others.
We are proud to be a charity. Our founder, Mary Monica created the St Monica Trust to be somewhere to provide rest and to care for her missionary friends. We try and maintain that feeling today - starting with our staff. Because they care so much for their work, we care so much for them.
There’s a real team spirit you just can’t ignore. Everyone mucks in and helps each other. Everyone is supported and rewarded. And everyone is encouraged to reach his or her potential through training. There’s a lot of talking, a lot of listening and a lot of learning together. If you think you'd make a good fit, get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
The truth is, we’re a close-knit bunch. It’s definitely hard work, but our colleagues tell us it’s rewarding. We think Monica Wills would be very proud to hear that.
