A unique retirement community

With its own chapel and stunning gardens, our Cote Lane Retirement Village offers a range of sheltered accommodation and services specially designed to cater for the individual needs of every resident.

At the heart of our Cote Lane Retirement Village stands the recently refurbished grade II listed building, Oatley House, which, together with the lodges, offers one and two bedroom sheltered accommodation in 70 retirement homes.

Adjacent to Oatley House, St Monica Court, also recently refurbished, is home to around 30 residents and nestling in the hillside on a quiet part of the retirement village stands Westfield House, a purpose-built complex of 60 one and two bedroom retirement homes, many of which have their own balcony or patio area.

Within the magnificent grounds is situated The Garden House, a purpose-built nursing care home, which has recently undergone a £4 million redevelopment. Most residents in the care home require nursing care, and a separate specialist dementia care home (The Sundials) is occupied by twelve residents on the ground floor with a fifteen-bed dementia nursing care unit on the first floor.

Comfort, convenience and security

One of the most important features of community life at Cote Lane is the magnificent chapel, with which many residents are involved. A resident chaplain is on hand to provide spiritual support to all residents, regardless of faith.

Access to the various buildings is controlled by electronic key fob, and the whole site is regularly patrolled by the porter/security team. CCTV is also in operation 24-hours a day.

Cote Lane is located within a convenient distance of both Henleaze and Westbury-on-Trym each with an excellent selection of shops, banks and restaurants. There are also several local libraries and churches in the surrounding area.

A choice of tenure

We have retirement homes for sale at our Cote Lane Retirement Village through our lease purchase scheme, which enables individuals to buy a lifetime lease or on a part-rent, part buy, part rent option.

Inspected by the Care Quality Commission

All St Monica Trust’s services and facilities are regularly inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC’s latest inspection report on our care and support service at Cote Lane is available to view online.
