Village living in the heart of suburbia
There are 150 retirement homes, consisting of apartments and flats for independent living, and an 80-bed nursing care home at our Westbury Fields Retirement Village. At the heart of the site is a village green and cricket pitch, which is used by a local team during the summer months. The aim of the retirement village is to create a lively, balanced community including active, independent residents as well as those requiring a high degree of support.
Meeting your changing needs
The Trust is committed to the concept of supported living and independence. Westbury Fields offers a unique combination of sheltered accommodation and services, which together create a highly flexible environment designed to meet the changing needs of individuals as they age with dignity and choice.
As needs change, the care and support team can deliver a tailored programme of home care and support services to residents in their own retirement homes. The help available includes an emergency warden call system, a very popular meals service, personal care and home care.
Convenience and peace of mind
The retirement village is located close to Westbury-on-Trym with its many shops, library, restaurants and other amenities. Another important feature of the village is the peace of mind that comes with feeling secure and safe within the community. Both entrances to the site have specially controlled gates and CCTV with a 24-hour security service also in operation.
A choice of tenure
We have retirement homes for sale at Westbury Fields Retirement Village through our lease purchase scheme, which enables individuals to buy a lifetime lease or on a shared ownership option. There are also 51 retirement homes available to rent through Bristol City Council.
We advise that you seek independent advice, support and representation as appropriate in connection with a move to a retirement community.
Inspected by the Care Quality Commission
All St Monica Trust’s services and facilities are regularly inspected by the Care Quality Commission (www.cqc.org.uk). The CQC inspected Westbury Fields' care and support service on 13 February 2015 and the latest inspection report is available to view online.
