The Russets is a 73 bed specialist dementia care home located at the heart of our Sandford Station retirement village in North Somerset.
The Russets at Sandford Station
An award-winning design, The Russets consists of inter-linked bungalows built in a circle around a central garden, complete with a clubhouse.
The Russets’ flexible approach to care is focused on reducing the anxieties and supporting the capabilities of each individual resident. This ensures residents have the choice to live their lives as freely as possible, just as they might in their own homes.
Every bedroom at The Russets opens out into an open-plan living area, which has both sitting and dining areas with a communal kitchen. This helps create a homely environment for small groups of residents where they can engage with staff and each other.
- Purposeful and meaningful activities for residents
- Large secure garden
- Multi-disciplinary team including nurses, support workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapist and pastoral care
- Onsite GP and regular access to other professional services
- Unique, award-winning living environment
