Care at Home
As care needs increase, managing at home can become more and more difficult for many older people. St Monica Trust recognises that many of us would like to remain at home for as long as possible and that help with the little things can make all the difference.
Helping you live at home longer
Our care at home service is a specialist service for older people which supports independence in the privacy and comfort of your own homes. All our carers are trained to devise individual care and support plans that will meet your specific needs.
Apart from being a friendly face and someone to talk to, personal carers can assist you with bathing, bed making, light cleaning and domestic duties, shopping and preparing meals. They are also available to help monitor tablets, take you out for appointments, get you up in the morning and help you go to bed at night.
How can we help you?
If you would like to take advantage of St Monica Trust’s Care at Home service, the first thing that happens is that you receive a visit, at a time to suit you, from the scheme’s manager or senior care at home staff member. You decide what kind of service you want and when you want it. A detailed care plan is then prepared with you.
Our care and support manager will listen to your needs, wishes and expectations and discuss with you how these can best be met. One thing we are very strict about is punctuality. We regard it as essential that you know exactly when your St Monica Trust carer will call and that, except in an emergency, timings are strictly adhered to.
The Trust’s care at home service operates in most of the areas in and around Bristol. If you would like to find out more, please call the care at home team on 0117 377 3848.
