Qualifications

Our learners benefit from working with assessors who have first-hand experience in the delivery and management of care services. We understand the needs of residential and domiciliary care services and emphasise the importance of balancing work and achieving a qualification.

The Practice Development team is proud of its high achievement rate for all learners. We provide support for all levels of qualifications which helps learners gather the knowledge requirements for each unit. Our assessment practices focus on using both work-based evidence and demonstration of knowledge and skills, a process which we believe helps candidates meet and regularly exceed national standards.

We are able to provide appropriate and sensitive assessment of care workers, supported where necessary, with out-of-hours assessments. The centre limits the number of learners each assessor works with, which means that we sometimes operate a waiting list system, but you are guaranteed individualised support once an award is started.

We are not currently able to access funding as we are a smaller, employer-led training provider. However, you may be able to claim back some of cost of your qualification from the local employer partnership Care Learning.

We aim to keep our costs reasonable. Charges include the cost of registration with the Awarding Body, assessment, verification, support, resource materials and travel to your place of work when necessary.
