Conferencing, meetings rooms and events

Offering excellent value and spanning three convenient sites at venues across Bristol, St Monica Trust has a variety of flexible spaces available for hire for meetings, seminars, corporate events or other celebratory occasions.

Beautiful places, versatile spaces
Westbury Fields Village with its village green setting and Oatley House, a listed building in 22 acres of garden and parkland are both within 4 miles of the M5, catering for up to 160 guests or delegates or for smaller groups for training sessions or meetings. Monica Wills House, a brand new venue in the heart of South Bristol, has a variety of excellent indoor and outside spaces, including a 70 seat conference room dining room with terrace, 100m sunlit atrium and a roof garden with stunning 360° views across the city.

Fabulous food
We have our own extensive kitchens, experienced catering team and award-winning chef, who can both prepare and serve a full range of fabulous food, including formal dining in our private restaurant facilities, buffet meals or delicious coffee and home made cakes.

Excellent value
All facilities are available on a full day, half day or even an hourly basis and all with very competitive rates. We are particularly pleased to make our facilities available to other charities, to whom we offer discounted rates.

Corporate events
We can offer a platform for a product launch or a more intimate venue for an AGM or company seminar. Seating up to 160 delegates, the main hall in Oatley House has full theatre facilities with stage, sound system and overhead projection. Lunch can be taken on a mezzanine level overlooking the main Oatley House restaurant and delegates are also able to enjoy the extensive and beautifully tended grounds and gardens. There are numerous smaller rooms available for break-out sessions on site.

The self-contained conference room at Westbury Fields caters for up to 70 people, with similar facilities and the cricket pavilion, right next to an impressive cricket pitch is an unusual and welcoming venue for smaller groups of up to 40 people.

"The Main Hall was a great venue for the launch of our outdoor adventures business. The facilities were superb - an impressive space with so much flexibility. The staff were really helpful and responsive, providing excellent support before and during the event itself. We wouldn't hesitate to use the venue again."

Training and meeting rooms
With a wide range of facilities used regularly for teaching by its own Learning and Skills team, the St Monica Trust has an extensive range of facilities supporting learning and training. These include a fully equipped training room which caters for up to 40 people as a lecture theatre, with its own tea/coffee facilities and data or overhead projector. Training rooms are available for hire on all three St Monica Trust sites.

Our training rooms are ideal spaces for anyone looking to hire a convenient, offsite meeting room. Flexible hire rates means rooms can be booked on an hourly basis and they are offered at very competitive rates. Both Westbury Fields and Cote Lane have on-site parking. Full catering is available, including tea, coffee and cakes and buffet lunches.

"We have delegates from all over the world and the feedback from all has always beengood. Thanks for all your support. Nothing was too much trouble. We were looked after beautifully over the three days."

Occasions
A stunning listed building set in 22 acres of parkland right next to Bristol's Durdham Downs, Oatley House is a beautiful place to hold a special event or private reception. As well as the main hall, with its gallery and wood paneling, there is a private restaurant which seats around 120 and is available for dinner functions during the evening. Cote Lane also has its own magnificent chapel, St Augustine's, which is available for special services although not licensed for weddings.
In South Bristol, dining is available for up to 140 guests in Monica Wills House restaurant with doors that open onto a large wooden terrace making it a delightful place for summer entertaining. The venue has a 100m glass atrium, with an indoor garden. Stunning views can be enjoyed right across the city to Clifton Suspension Bridge from the terrace garden, 40 metres up on the very top of the building.
"The hall with the activities centre make a great combination and worked really well for us, especially with the on-site parking. Delicious canapés. We'll be back again next year."
